Feature Segment

This week's podcast show guest is Della Domingo, the PR Director of SEMA, and in our interview we discuss everything ELSE that SEMA does aside from the annual convention show in Las Vegas in November. The SEMA organization, which stands for "Speed Equipment Manufacturers Association" was originally founded in 1963 to help small hot rod parts manufacturers bind together and help each other grow their businesses. Many of the participants in the early hot rod parts days were not large corporations, but simply guys making speed parts for their own cars, in their own garages, and on their own time. They had little to no business experience, and as the hot rod industry picked up steam they organized SEMA as a way to help each other grow, give each other business help, network, set standards on products for motorsports, etc.
