Recent Classifieds at The MuscleCar Place! Yes, it's a real 442. With the proliferation of clones and outright fake muscle cars, it's important to get all the documentation to verify you're actually buying what you think you're buying. This 1966 Oldsmobile 442 is a spectacular survivor with just one repaint and a rebuilt engine, and comes with goodies such as the original window sticker and order form, confirming its pedigree. The days of the 442 being overlooked by collectors are long gone, and after you get a look at this fantastic Provincial White hardtop, you won't wonder why. The bumpers are bright, the stainless doesn't have any dings, and the blacked-out 442 grille is almost perfect. Then there are those cool fender vents which are only just now coming back into fashion, but never have they looked so good as they do on this car. ..Read More 1970 Chevelle SS454 LS6 Beautiful, rotisserie restored, and full numbers matching LS6. 1962 Ford Galaxie
This 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 is an ultra-cool car all by itself. But when
you learn that it was originally a fire chief's car, complete with a
Q-code 390 401HP and dealer-installed triple deuces, it gets a lot more
interesting. Big power in an unassuming package, this is an awesome
semi-sleeper with a lot of unusual features.
Ford experts will probably be scratching their heads at this top-of-the-line Galaxie 500 that doesn't have the wide stainless or rocker trim, but that's how the chief ordered it so that the trim wouldn't interfere with the fire station's logo. Combined with the steel wheels and blackwall tires, it's a brutal-looking beast of a car that can truly deliver on the threat its appearance implies. The brilliant Rangoon Red paint is what you'd expect from a fire chief's machine, although this one originally had a red top-personally, I think I like the all-red better. All the chrome and stainless has been thoroughly restored as well, including the beautifully intricate rear fascia between the jet-inspired taillights, and the Galaxie trim at the base of the C-pillar. The result is a car that looks fast and important, just what the chief ordered ... Read More Home of the world's best muscle car podcast.
