The MuscleCar Place Newsletter December 17, 2009

Merry Christmas!

If you're looking for that last minute Christmas present....then look no further. Former podcast guest and professional Mustang builder "Mustang Don" has put his '68 GR-350 road race Mustang up for sale!  I wouldn't be surprised at all to see someone purchase this one...and then take it to Barrett-Jackson next month!  Scroll down for details!

Since Christmas is just around the corner, this week we'll speak to Santa Claus himself in our weekly podcast show.  It turns out that he's a big fan of muscle cars.  Who knew!  Be sure to share this one with the kids - the link is below.

Lastly, as this will be our last newsletter of the year, thanks very much for your patronage and support of The MuscleCar Place in 2009!  Here is wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas...and a Happy New Year!

See you in 2010!

Don's '68 GR-350.....for sale!

This '68 Mustang started out as a plain maroon coupe, spent most of it's life in Saratoga, California.   The car has never been wrecked or rusted. I bought it in 1997 as a project for myself.....  I bought all of the suspension and brake parts from Griggs Racing Products and added the entire GR-350 suspension package (used on SCCA World Challenge Mustangs in the late 1990's)....

This car is built for reliability and does not include any doo-dads that don't make it faster or drive better. It is a fast and fun, street legal driver that is at home on the road courses and can be driven comfortably for long distances. It has seen time on Summit Point Shenandoah and main circuits as well as VIR full and south courses. Track preparation involves swapping brake pads and bleeding the brakes after track events. It would cost over $120k to duplicate this car....
